When I was a youngster of about 12 years old, my dad took me to a baseball game. It happened to be the opening game of the season and the Washington Senators were playing. President Eisenhower was there to throw out the first ball of the season. My dad was able to get very good seats and it turned out we were only about 15 feet from president Eisenhower. Part way into the game my dad bought me a hot dog and a Coke. After I finished the hot dog and Coke, what does a little boy do with an empty Coke cup? Well, I turned it over and stomped on it hard. It went pow! Immediately, half a dozen Secret Service men jumped up with their hands on their guns making a protective circle around the president. My dad slumped down in his seat and pretended he didn’t even know me. Needless to say, he never took me to another ballgame!
So what’s the point of the story? There is absolutely no moral to this story. As far as I know it does not illustrate any spiritual truth. I only included it because it was amusing.
